5 Days of Funny: The Joke’s on You!

You’ve probably noticed that this Friday is Red Nose Day! This year, we decided that a single day of funny just wasn’t enough for us, so we’re going to do a whole 5 Days of Funny!
Each day we’re going to be running a little internal competition to raise money by being funny. Everyone who wants to participate is putting in a small donation through our Just Giving page with all the proceeds going to the Red Nose Day charity.
There are going to be goofy jokes, comical pet pics, embarrassing childhood photos, a tribute to the Monty Python classic Ministry of Silly Walks, and a whole day of Funny Faces. We’ll be posting pictures as the week goes on—why not check back on Friday to see the winners of each competition?
Today’s competition is a simple one to ease us into the week: Goofy Jokes. Everyone is going to be submitting their silliest joke and the winner will get a Red Nose Day prize.
Sadly, I’ve never been very good at telling jokes. Funny stories, ok. But a snappy joke? Just not my forte.
I’ll show you what I mean, this is my best joke:
Two goldfish in a tank.
Once says to the other:
“Hey, who’s driving this thing?”
Pretty pathetic, isn’t it? Oh well, I’m looking forward to reading what everyone else comes up with and it’s all for a good cause.
In fact, I’m looking forward to the whole 5 Days of Funny—what a great way to raise some money.
Although I originally hail from northern California, as soon as I arrived in Yorkshire I knew it was the place for me! At OpenCRM, I started out in the Business Development team, and then moved into compliance and Q&A because I love telling people what to do…ok, that’s not the real reason, but it makes for a good bio one-liner. When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me tramping through the dales, crafting, gardening, or with my nose in a book.
