Internet Explorer security problem
16 Dec 2008Just a quick update on the browser war (well scuffle anyway!).
It has been reported widely (news.BBC.co.uk) that Microsoft are writing an urgent and unplanned security patch for IE, to resolve a serious vulnerability. The ability to take control of the browser and phish for private data.
This effects V7 of it’s browser, with previous versions suspected as requiring patching also.
Anyone with any concerns could always download Firefox.
I will post below the download link for Firefox and OpenCRM users will receive further information by email.
This does appear to be one of the more serious
security issues for sometime.
To download Firefox click this link and then click on the big download icon http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
Before I got my start in the tech industry as part of Apple’s UK Mac launch team, I was a professional drummer (notice I didn’t say musician). But once I got in, I was hooked and I’ve been involved in the tech industry, primarily software development, for over 35 years. I founded this company and I now have the enviable title of System Architect (as well as Managing Director) here at OpenCRM.
