About the client

Ergo Group Ltd

Founded in 1996, Ergo Group supplies families with high-quality products for hours of outdoor fun, including Rainbow Play Systems climbing frames, Springfree Trampolines and, most recently, Hydrolife Hot Tubs.

It’s a business built on loving the brands it carries: products the team wouldn’t hesitate to have at home themselves, built to be used and enjoyed over time rather than just built to last. That same standard — do it properly, or don’t do it — is what Paula Blake-Pead, Ergo Group’s Operational Excellence lead, brought to the search for a new CRM system.

The challenge

A system with no one left to run it

Ergo Group’s existing CRM had been built and managed in-house by an employee who later left the business — leaving behind a basic system with no real function for managing sales leads.

With the company growing, Paula needed a system that could show what was in the pipeline and what was happening with each opportunity, day to day — without relying on one person’s institutional knowledge to keep it running.

The solution

Prospects, activities and forecasting in one place

OpenCRM gave Paula and her team a straightforward way to manage prospects and customers, scheduling follow-up calls and other activities from a single place — so Paula could see who was supposed to be where with just a couple of clicks.

The team could also record and amend opportunities, both amounts and probabilities, letting Paula easily forecast and budget — something the old system simply couldn’t do.

The whole team was up and working “quite seamlessly,” working closely with a dedicated Project Manager at OpenCRM throughout onboarding.
